New YouTube VR app unveiled
New YouTube VR app unveiled
On May 19th at Google I/O, we announced the new YouTube VR app, which is set to launch later this year. To help make the production of VR content more accessible, we're planning to make cameras available to creators in our Spaces. Get the full picture on our blog.
YouTube Red says g’day to a new audience
YouTube Red and YouTube Music are now available in Australia and New Zealand. This expansion gives creators like you an additional way to earn revenue for the videos you’re already creating.
Bumper ads: the appetizer of video ads
Starting in May, we rolled out a new ad format with mobile in mind: six-second bumper ads. Offering creators a new way to earn money, these ads also keep things short and sweet. If you have monetization enabled for skippable and non-skippable ads, you can benefit from this new format too. Learn how.
Our May #CreatorSpotlight, Beardbrand, knows a thing or two about updating a man’s look for springtime. Let’s hear the story from Eric himself.
#CreatorSpotlight present up-and-coming creators who are pushing the boundaries of creativity. We’re always looking for creators doing amazing things, so keep uploading and let us know if you want to be featured via Twitter by using #CreatorSpotlight!
Here’s a taste of a few #CreatorSpotlight morsels from May:
  • Prankster Frenchie TV shares his version of the “dads at concerts” genre
  • Chris Fleming gives us a Memorial Day commercial that feels all too real
